Position Summary
Position Summary: Bryant University’s School of Health and Behavioral Sciences invites faculty scholars or professionals to apply for a full-time lecturer position in health sciences. Teaching and/or research interests that incorporate AI in healthcare are preferred but not required. 
The School of Health and Behavioral Sciences currently offers undergraduate majors in Biology, Psychology, Health Sciences, Exercise and Movement Science and Healthcare Analytics, as well as graduate programs in Physician Assistant Studies, and Healthcare Informatics. Principal Accountabilities
Principal Accountabilities: The School of Health and Behavioral Sciences (SHBS) is seeking a lecturer to teach as a part of our sciences curriculum and assist with courses that will contribute to the university’s general education program. 
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Teach undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in health sciences that could include, but are not limited to, biology, anatomy and physiology, human health and disease, research methods in health sciences, exercise physiology, medical terminology, or introduction to healthcare. 
  • Help develop courses to enhance health sciences curriculum including courses that involve AI in healthcare
  • Teach capstone courses in the general education program.
  • Contribute to the advancement of health sciences at Bryant through research, building community partnerships or enhancing experiential learning opportunities
  • Collaborate with faculty to assess the curriculum for the Health Sciences degree program
  • Mentor undergraduate students
  • Participate in service at the departmental, college, university, and professional levels
  • Demonstrate a commitment toward building an equitable and inclusive scholarly environment

Qualifications
Qualifications: 
Master’s or PhD in health sciences or a related field.
  • higher education or healthcare industry experience
  • teaching or professional experience that will enable the ability to facilitate students’ application of principles and concepts in healthcare
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
  • Experience working with students and professionals from diverse backgrounds to improve access to higher education for under-represented groups

  • Problem Solving – proven skills in identifying issues, determining their cause, developing creative solutions, and following through with implementing resolutions.
  • Relationship Management – able to personally provide high level of interactive service to others, building relationships and addressing identified needs.
  • Systems & Software – proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
  • Team Orientation & Interpersonal skills – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external organizational partners.
  • Ability to work successfully in a multi-cultural environment.
