The Opportunity

The Chemistry Department (sciences.ucf.edu/chemistry) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for four full-time, nine-month, non-tenure earning lecturer positions anticipated to begin August 2024. In addition to contributing to teaching lecture and laboratory courses, the successful candidates are expected to participate in continuous curriculum improvement and provide service to the department, college, and university. The Chemistry Department at UCF values scholarly research in Chemistry Education and encourages lecturers to participate in this area of research.

The College of Sciences (COS) houses most of the university’s natural, computational, and social sciences in eight departments, two schools, and several centers. The college’s programs play a key role in advancing UCF as a national research university that is determined to help students from all backgrounds achieve success. Minimum Qualifications:

A doctorate in chemistry or a related field from an accredited institution with organic chemistry research experience by the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference is for candidates who have the capability of instructing upper level and graduate courses in Organic Chemistry. Experience teaching organic chemistry and biochemistry courses is beneficial.

Additional Requirements related to Research Positions
