Position Summary

Under direct supervision, processes specific Human Resources documents, which may include paper and electronic forms and processes, communicates with employees and department representatives, performs processes related to employment, benefits and/or training, maintains employee information in Workday or other automated systems including; Learning Management Systems (LMS), and maintains employee personnel, training, compensation, employee relations, wellness and/or benefit files.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Processes employee transactions, which may include recruiting, onboarding, training, compensation, employee relations, wellness, or benefits using Workday or other automated systems.
  • Receives calls and/or greets visitors, takes messages and responds to requests for information.
  • Provides administrative oversight and data collection input/output in Workday or other automated systems.
  • Participates in special projects.
  • Maintains and creates files for recordkeeping systems.
  • Reviews data, records, and files for detail and accuracy.
  • Creates, publishes, and maintains reports.
  • May coordinate with Fleet Management to oversee Defensive Driving process and reporting.
  • Assists with student work activities.
  • Works closely with departments and managers in providing pertinent information.
  • Assists with the administration of New Employee Orientation.
  • Attends and participates in special events as needed.
  • Subject to the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and Central New Mexico Community College’s HIPAA Privacy and Security policies and procedures.
  • Assisting the CNM health plan with day-to-day activities involving protected health information, including but not limited to; assisting with employee claims, coordinating benefits, determining health claim status, determining eligibility for coverage, budgeting and renewal, billing and collection activities, obtaining assistance from third-parties for plan functions, and any other duties delegated by the HIPAA Privacy and Security policy.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree and two (2) years of related experience.
