Lead Histology Technician - Neurology Clinic

To perform a variety of routine histological procedures related to preparation of tissue for microscopic examination, including embedding, microtomy, staining, and special techniques. To assist supervisor in laboratory operations to include resident training as it applies to grossing, histology, quality control monitoring, troubleshooting, and lab accreditation.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Currently certified as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
