Lead Business Transactions and Services Coordinator


Department:
Engineering | Service Center

Serves as a lead within the Business Operations Center (BOC) for the College of Engineering (COE) by demonstrating a high degree of knowledge in procurement and assisting supervisor with coordinating all procurement and travel requests.

Responsible for all system approval of procurement and travel transactions assigned as directed by COE's internal control structure, which includes ensuring segregation of duties in the processing of every financial transaction, appropriate mandatory approvals, and appropriate mandatory reconciliations.

Provides a high level of customer service, accuracy and efficiency to COE faculty and staff while ensuring compliance with university established policies and procedures and maintaining timely and accurate transaction processing.

Trains BOC staff on work assignments, interpretation and implementation of university policies and procedures, etc. Works closely with unit fiscal officers to disseminate policies, procedures, and process, and independently resolve procurement and travel issues.

Proactively stays abreast of changes to university policies and regulations and shares information with staff. Contributes to workflow business process and policy changes.

Updates business processes by examining current practices and offering suggestions for process improvement. Establishes priorities, completes special projects, and provides recommendations to Director.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range: $22.16 - $29.54

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED, Certification or vocational training may be required. At least four (4) years of experience working in a business administration role financial or procurement environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication. Strong analytical organizational and time management skills. Ability to follow through and high attention to detail. Considerable experience in providing exceptional service to stakeholders. Proficient in multi-tasking problem-solving and critical thinking. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
