Job Title: Law Adjunct Faculty - Legal Design Clinic (LawX)

Required Degree: BS required. JD preferred. Degree must be in a related field with design experience. Required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: The applicant must have a strong working knowledge of, and ability to teach Legal Design Clinic (LawX).

Duties/Expectations: The position will teach a course on Legal Design. Time taught to be determined by the applicant's schedule. The Legal Design Clinic is a project-based course in which students learn to use design thinking to analyze and address legal issues. The course has three parts. First, students learn the basics of design-thinking and how those principles apply to the law. Second, the class will work as a team to create a solution to a specific legal problem identified by the instructor and involving a live client. Third, each student will identify a problem in the law that can be ameliorated through improved design and present a proposal for solving the specified problem. 

The adjunct faculty member will not be asked to attend department meetings. She or he will be expected to spend some time outside of class to address questions related to the class.
