Job Summary: |
The Lab Tech I processes all sample types for cytogenetic, FISH, and microarray analysis. This position participates in wet lab maintenance and inventory control, and may be delegated special assignments. This position adheres to established Colorado Genetics Laboratory standard operating procedures, operational and professionalism guidelines, and is responsible for promoting an environment conducive to effective, accurate and efficient mission driven operations. This Lab Tech I position is at the Colorado Genetics Laboratory in the Department of Pathology at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. Under the supervision of section supervisors, the Lab Tech I may be trained in specimen preparations, chromosome analysis, FISH analysis, and DNA preparations for microarray testing, in order to be eligible to become an ASCP Certified Cytogenetic Technologist. Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $48,276 - $55,999. The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
