Laboratory Technician

The Department of Medicine is seeking a qualified candidate for the Laboratory Research Technician position. This position will perform and assist in various preparatory procedures and surgical procedures. The incumbent will also be expected to electronically monitor animals as part of the data collection process. This position will also be responsible for the maintenance of the laboratory equipment as well as for the day-to-day maintenance of the research lab. 

Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.

Must be organized and detail oriented. Must be able to work well in a team based environment.
