Physical Requirements
Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders up to 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&S policy.
Shift
Primarily Days Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some evenings and weekends possible due to experimentation
Job Summary
Our laboratory is interested in elucidating the mechanisms that mediate recently identified genetic risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease. The successful applicant will be expected to be highly organized, able to demonstrate the ability to generate experimental data, to have strong communication skills, and to be a team player. The ideal candidate will have basic lab skills (e.g. pipetting) and experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques such as qPCR and Western blots.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Experience in molecular biology skills such as PCR; Basic lab skills, (e.g., pipetting).

Preferred Education/Experience
Preferred degree in a related field (science preferred) and Research laboratory experience
