Job Summary
This is an open position for full-time laboratory technician senior. The applicant needs to have a a degree and one or more years laboratory experience. The laboratory is focused on basic and research in Alzheimer’s and related dementia. We are a small but dynamic team of researchers, postdocs and undergrads that are excited about contributing to the laboratory focus on unraveling new mechanism and therapeutic avenues for these devastating diseases.
The applicant will conduct routine laboratory bench work of individual projects which include:
1) cell culture maintenance, western blotting, tissue immunohistochemistry, DNA/ RNA extraction; 2) assist in small animal surgical procedures;
3) help with maintenance of animal colony and
4) perform advanced imaging including confocal and FRAP assays,
5)perform analysis and present results in scientific meetings, such as laboratory meetings and UK based events.
