Job Summary
The Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a Laboratory Technician Senior to work in a wet lab performing technical lab assistance including: data management and analysis, cell culture, RNA isolation and PCR, western blot, plasmid amplification and DNA purification, ELISA and IHC staining. Organizing and analysis of data using Excel or Photoshop; do some animal work, such as maintenance, treatment and sacrificing; lab maintenance, ensure compliance with general lab safety guidelines along with UK and government regulations; and must be able to keep an accurate and detailed scientific notebook both hard copy and electronic.
This position is only eligible for a fully on-site work schedule.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Photoshop, basic wet lab skills, knowledge of UK and government guidelines and policies for lab compliance, ability to work effectively with mice.

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree with one or more years of related experience.
