Advanced Technology Genomics Core

facility.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Sample QC- Perform sample quality and quantity assessment for assigned services in the ATGC. Generate and distributes QC reports.
  • Perform sample intake for assigned services. Correctly receive, process, and verify proper identification of samples.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records according to established policies and procedures. Update service LIMS as required.
  • General Lab duties- To include but not limited to: reagent/supply check-in and storage, buffer and reagent stock preparation.
  • Prepare laboratory equipment and supplies for use by scientist. Calibrate and maintain general laboratory equipment.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION

Required: High school graduation or equivalent.

Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's degree with major coursework in one of the basic sciences.

EXPERIENCE

Required: One year of experience in a clinical medical laboratory or similar setting. With preferred degree, no experience required.

Preferred: Experience in a molecular laboratory setting.
