1. Performs equipment maintenance and repair. Modifies and adjusts equipment and apparatus according to experiment and specifications. 2. Creates instructional materials. Oversees and instructs support staff and students in laboratory techniques and equipment usage. 3. Performs specialized scientific/laboratory procedures and techniques. Formulates scientific solutions and media. 4. Maintains laboratory facilities and work areas. Orders supplies, equipment, and apparatus for laboratory experiments. 5. Performs additional functions incidental to laboratory activities.
Required Skill/ability 1:  Excellent communication skills and proven reliability/dependability.
Required Skill/ability 2:  Ability to function both independently and as part of a team.
Required Skill/ability 3:  Highly motivated and highly organized.
Required Skill/ability 4:  Ability to work in a Biohazard Level 2 facility, ability to follow all safety and HIPAA policies.
Required Skill/ability 5:  Ability to lift 50 lbs on a consistent basis.
Preferred Education:  Prior related work experience preferred. Prior experience with CoPath preferred.
Work Week:  Standard (M-F equal number of hours per day)
