Position Summary:

Under supervision of Principal Investigator and/or Lab Manager responsibilities include the following: Independently maintain mouse colony of 10+ strains, genotyping, and carrying out immunocytochemistry and in situ hybridization procedures; preparing stock solutions, maintaining supplies for experiments at hand; and maintaining data records.

$25.88 - $30.79 (Hourly Rate)

 

Required:

Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and three years of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences and two years of laboratory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledges and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

Minimum of bachelors degree in scientific field Willingness to work with animals ( mice) Basic or high level computer skills Effective verbal and written communication skills in English Previous laboratory experience Experience with dissection of animals Experience with colony maintenance, crossing and genotyping
