Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in a related field and four years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. Grade 7E

Position Description:

The Genomics Training and Education Center (GTEC), was founded by the Brown Cancer Center and KY-INBRE NIH-P20 in July 2022, to provide comprehensive training and education in the field of Genomics. GTEC was established on the premise that the increasing complexity of genomics data demands additional training for students and researchers in data generation, analysis, and interpretation. The individual will possess extensive experience in molecular biology lab techniques as well as familiarity with NGS data set analysis methods. The individual will compile and conduct training sessions in wet lab techniques including complex and expensive spatial transcriptomics procedures. The individual will also assist in NGS data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Self-motivated with 5 to 10 years of related experience and a strong background in molecular biology and Next Generation Sequencing Applications
  • Previous experience in histology
  • Previous experience in student training and teaching
  • Python/R
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service oriented and self-motivated

Target Compensation Maximum: $87,300

Target Compensation Minimum: $58,200

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
