As the IT Project Management and Business Analysis Associate, you will assist with a variety of Project and Technology Consulting Office (PATCO) activities which could include planning, communications, task management, issue and risk mitigation, quality assurance, go-live transition, needs analysis, requirements elicitation, process mapping, and testing. In this role, you will participate in project/business analysis meetings and have hands-on opportunities to contribute to projects and initiatives in partnership with other members of the project office.

 

This position is part of Princeton’s Office of Informational Technology (OIT) Summer Experience Program. OIT is excited to welcome a cohort of undergraduate students to learn, explore, and gain professional experience in a variety of technical and administrative roles. All positions are sponsored by one of the six major departments within OIT, each specializing in a different area of information technology.

 

This is a temporary position.



What you’ll be doing:  

  • Participating in discussions to understand business drivers for proposed projects and initiatives
  • Developing and maintaining a project task schedule using project management software; coordinating task completion with project team members
  • Drafting key project artifacts such as the project charter, roles and responsibilities matrix, stakeholder analysis, communications plan, campus readiness plan, testing plan, and lessons learned report
  • Performing business analysis activities, which could include creating process flows and identifying pain points, participating in the requirements elicitation and documenting process, and preparing for testing
  • Preparing and distributing project meeting agendas and materials; attending project meetings; document and follow-up on action items
  • Producing project status reports and maintain project dashboards
