Position Summary:

The University of Dayton's Institute for Pastoral Initiatives invites qualified applicants to apply for our IPI English Curriculum Research Assistant opening!

This position works with the Associate Director of English Curriculum by assisting with course
revisions, research, and review of articles for course designs and facilitators.Will also facilitate some of the online courses in Catholic theology and faith formation. The successful
candidate will require a clear understanding of Catholic theology and Church history, as well as
online methodology and research. A good command of the English language is also required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or Pastoral Ministry
Excellent written communication skills, including editing
Ability to use social media for course development
Ability to create online Catholic adult faith formation content including prayer services
Understanding of Catholic adult faith formation and catechetical leadership methodologies
Ability to work with and supervise students
candidate should be practicing Roman Catholic with knowledge and understanding of
Catholic doctrine and magisterium documents in order to instruct

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Master’s degree in Theology or Pastoral Ministry
Experience in Pastoral Ministry, Religious Education
Online Methodology in Faith Formation
Experience with Microsoft Office Tools
