The Opportunity:

As the International Admissions Coordinator you will be responsible for evaluating international first-year, transfer, non-degree, and former student undergraduate admission applications, as well as International Master’s Program (graduate bridge) and Academic English (ESL) admissions applications. You will be reviewing international academic documents in order to make appropriate admission decisions for all international applicants. You will work closely with the Lead International Admissions Coordinator to assist prospective international students with educational opportunities and to understand and successfully complete Washington State University’s application requirements for both international and domestic coursework. Additionally, you must have cross-cultural sensitivities that allow clear communication with international applicants, current international students, and other stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include: basic understanding of international student immigration rules and government databases; ability to analyze and process international applications; evaluate transfer credit and international/domestic transcripts; assess appropriate academic levels for the students; and respond to inquiries.

This position's work location is fully remote within U.S., hybrid, or in-person in Pullman, WA. Hybrid or remote workers will need to provide their own computer and related equipment.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident (SEVP eligibility for becoming a Designated School Official).


  • Experience in international student services and/or admissions.


Preferred Qualifications:​

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to work with a diverse student population and knowledge of multicultural issues.

  • Experience with the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).

  • Experience advising students.

  • Experience conducting recruitment activities.

  • Experience researching, interpreting, and applying regulations and policies.

  • Experience working with multicultural and/or international student populations.

  • Experience using Slate or another CRM system.

Monthly Salary: $3,750.85 - $4,162.54 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
