Position Summary:      

As Interim Director of the Innovation Lab, you will report to Noam Wasserman, Dean of the Sy Syms School of Business.

Your responsibility as Interim Director of the Innovation Lab will be to continue to execute the plan that was developed as part of the three-year programmatic investment by the EDA and see the program to its successful conclusion at the end of August 2024.

The primary focus remains on fostering economic development in New York, expanding the presence of Israeli startups in the city, and accelerating the growth of the business community in Washington Heights.

Position Responsibilities:

This role encompasses the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all spending between now and August 31, 2024, is consistent with the requirements of the EDA grant, and is fully documented.
  • Overseeing the team that is working on grant-related work through the YU Innovation Lab.
  • Working with Jennifer Kinney to be YU’s liaison with the EDA grant lead.
  • Cultivating strategic partnerships with Israel’s tech ecosystems
  • Spearheading strategic initiatives, encompassing experiential and educational programs.
  • Developing and executing innovation programming and curriculum.
  • Nurturing collaborations with YU stakeholders, alumni, and the broader community.
  • Creating a visionary road map and objectives for the innovation lab 2.0.

Salary Range:

$50.00 - $100.00 per hour
