Detailed Position Information
The Department of Philosophy invites applications for an 3-year Renewable Instructor position, beginning fall 2024. AOS or AOC in Medical Ethics broadly construed. Ph.D. in philosophy should be completed by August 15, 2024. The philosopher hired will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, and support the development of the Department’s B.A. Concentration in Philosophy and Medicine, and its minor in Medical Ethics. There will also be opportunities to teach classes and mentor students in the McCollough Pre-medical Institute. Teaching competence is required in Medical Ethics and desired in Philosophy of Medicine (broadly construed).
