Job Summary
The School of Nuclear Science & Engineering invites applications for one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track full/part-time Instructor positions to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2023-2024 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the School Head.
The School of Nuclear Science & Engineering is in the College of Engineering. The mission of the School is to provide world-class education so students can become industry, academic, and policy leaders driving the future of nuclear science worldwide.The curriculum encompasses the broad areas of nuclear and radiation sciences, engineering, and technology. The school has approximately 200 undergraduate and 200 graduate majors. The faculty includes 14 tenure and tenure-track members, with areas of specialization that include nuclear reactor physics, thermal hydraulics, computational methods, nuclear materials, health physics, radio-chemistry and medical physics.

Key Responsibilities
100% Teaching and Instruction

Instructors may be needed to teach courses in the following areas: nuclear engineering, radiation health physics, radiochemistry or engineering science
What You Will Need
PhD degree in nuclear engineering, radiation health physics, radiochemistry, or closely related field or MS with exceptional industrial research experience in nuclear engineering, radiation health physics, thermodynamics, thermal fluids, radiochemistry, or engineering science.
Good written and oral communication skills.
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the criminal history check requirement
