| Posting Text | The South Dakota State University (SDSU) School of Design invites applications for an Instructor of Interior Design, to begin no later than August 2024. The position is full time, nine-month, benefit eligible appointment and reports to the Director of the School of Design. The position’s focus is teaching and preparing students for professional practice. The position is typically 90% teaching and 10% service. South Dakota State University promotes access to and opportunities for all to receive the benefit of and participate in education, research, and service and is especially interested in candidates that can contribute to this land-grant mission of access. The School of Design includes accredited degrees in the visual arts: graphic design, and studio arts and the built environment: architecture, interior design and landscape architecture. Collectively, School faculty form a collaborative teaching and research environment that values cross-program and interdisciplinary initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to building national and international stature and recognition for the discipline, School and University. SDSU offers a 4-year CIDA accredited Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design degree.
