Posting Text | The Department of Construction and Operations Management in the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering at South Dakota State University invites applicants for a non-tenure-track faculty position at the academic rank of Instructor in Concrete Industry Management with a tentative begin date of August 2024. The Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program at South Dakota State University is one of only five such programs in the country. Due to the growth in the Construction Management and Concrete Industry Management programs, the department name will be officially changed to Construction and Concrete Industry Management (CCIM) on July 1, 2024. CIM is a business management program focused on the concrete industry, candidates with a thorough understanding of business and concrete is crucial. This position is supervised by the program director of the Concrete Industry Management program. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota and is a 9 Month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. The current COM department finds its home within the Jerome J. Lohr College of Engineering, one of the eight colleges at South Dakota State University. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise instructional lab assistants and other technical/program support personnel as necessary. SALARY RANGE: The salary range for this position is commensurate with qualifications. We offer a generous retirement plan that includes 6% matching, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and eleven paid holidays. Relocation benefits are available per university’s guidelines.
