Med Surg position Vermillion
The Department of Nursing at USD invites applications for full-time faculty members for the Vermillion site.
This position will be 9 months, full time. Salary and rank will be based on experience and credentials. This faculty position will be responsible for classroom, theoretical instruction and clinical experiences such as clinical, simulation, laboratory skills, and seminar. The ideal candidate will have expertise in medical surgical nursing.
Responsibilities includes oversight and evaluation of students’ clinical reasoning and clinical performance, assessment and evaluation of student learning, and implementation of patient simulations. Recent clinical experience is required. Experience teaching in a baccalaureate or higher degree preferred. Travel between the Vermillion and Sioux Falls campus may be expected.
The successful candidate will have a current unencumbered license, eligible for licensure in South Dakota, and hold a minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing, with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred, from a nationally accredited program. Exceptional written and verbal skills are essential with the ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning, and an ability to work well within a team.
