The Columbia University Program in Physical Therapy is seeking a collaborative individual with a strong work ethic for a staff physical therapist position in a vibrant Academic Clinical Faculty Physical Therapy Practice.  This individual strives for clinical excellence and patient-centered compassionate care.   

The mission of this faculty practice is to provide the best clinical practice, facilitate professional development among the physical therapy clinical and academic faculty of the future, and foster a collegial learning environment for clinicians, residents, and physical therapy students.

This experienced, energetic and team oriented individual will:

  • Provide clinical care to patients with a broad range of neurologic and orthopedic diagnoses
  • Efficiently execute all professional duties 
  • Remain current with emerging evidence and skills in the pursuit of life-long learning
  • Invest in collaborative clinical practice
  • Communicate with respect and compassion
  • Opportunities include:

  • Professional growth through co-treatments and collaborations with other health professions
  • Involvement in the Columbia University academic community including teaching within the entry-level DPT program, mentoring an Orthopedic Physical Therapy Resident, and providing clinical instruction to physical therapy program students
  • Participation in clinical research
  • Minimum Degree:

    • DPT with Clinical Certification

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must currently have or be eligible for PT licensure in New York State
    •      3 years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal physical therapy

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Clinical specialty preferred (ie, Board-certified Specialist)
    • Licensed to practice in New York
    • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
    •      Strong interest or experience in Spine and Pelvic Health Physical Therapy
    • BCLS Certified
    • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association
