Job Summary/Basic Functions
An EKU Information Technology Associate provides in-depth support for Blackboard users and first level technology support for EKU faculty, staff, and students. The IT Associate is also responsible for providing general support for desktop equipment and classroom technical issues.
The incumbent regularly deals with a range of more complex inquiries and requests for service/ information from beyond the department and from various constituents. The incumbent initiates or requests information or service with other departments arising from his/her own work.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School diploma or GED
Experience: In depth knowledge of Blackboard. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Working knowledge of computers.
Proficiency with Blackboard and standard business software such as Microsoft Office.
Proficiency communication with email and voice mail.
Ability to use Internet-based applications to perform work tasks.
