Information Services Coordinator, Director of Development and Alumni Relations

JOB DESCRIPTION:
A permanent position under the supervision of the Director of Development and Alumni Relations. This position manages the university's Banner Advancement system and works closely with the office of Information technology to create and modify reports in both banner and cognos systems, systems documentation, records maintenance, use and support of computer-based information systems.

Job duties as Information Services Coordinator include but are not limited to:

·        Provides technical support to other University Advancement users.

·        Responsible for consolidation of databases into Banner and to work closely with the general Advancement staff to deal with a wide variety of functions relating to the development, implementation, maintenance, documentation, use, and support of computer-based advancement information systems.

·        Update and manage the accuracy of gift adjustments to maintain the integrity of the data in current system.

·        Specifically, this position will have the responsibility for adjustments, finalizing and feeding all donations, reconciliations for the Advancement office, and maintaining and updating the Advancement webpage. Additionally, this position conducts feeding for athletics, KCCU and the Cameron University Alumni Association. The successful applicant will lead and manage the President’s Partner program including the accuracy of information.

SUPERVISION:
The coordinator reports to the Director of Development and Alumni Relations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience.

2.     Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

3.     Accurate and comprehensive writing skills as well as good communication skills.

4.     Proven experience in writing and troubleshooting computer programs.

5.     Proven experience in analyzing and reviewing computer system capabilities, current operational procedures, identifying problem areas, and optimize formats for data inputs and summaries.

6.     Experience using computer programs such as Access and Excel.

7.     Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, make solid judgment and problem-solve.

8.     Ability to self-manage and identify areas of need and complete day-to-day activities. Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations where required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.     Bachelor’s degree Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science or Business Management.

2.     Experience working in database similar to Banner, preferably in an Advancement-related area.

3.     Specific computer programming and experience in SQL, Banner and Cognos.

SALARY RANGE:
Commensurate with education and experience.
