Position Summary
MBA Student Buddies will assist C&L in preparing incoming students for the MBA recruiting process. Those in this role will serve as the initial point of contact in addressing incoming MBA students’ recruiting questions. Specifically, individuals will help students craft industry-specific resumes for MBA internships and provide mock interviews and casing advice for students participating in early recruiting opportunities. Buddies need to effectively assess incoming students’ work product and provide concrete and tactical suggestions for areas of improvement. In addition, Buddies are available to provide general recruiting advice and mentorship and will connect incoming students with the relevant C&L staff as needed. Since this role will work with various students and staff members, individuals should have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Those selected for the role will work 20-25 hours per week. Buddies should have recent experience as an MBA student and have gone through the MBA career recruiting process. Building on their own experience, they will be trained by a C&L Coach to offer consistent feedback and engage with incoming students professionally. As needed, resources will be provided by Career & Leadership, including templates, access to portal(s), and additional training. Work will be done remotely.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Resume review experience and experience working in consulting, finance, marketing, or technology; and an MBA. Strong stakeholder management experience, analytical ability, and communication skills are also required for this role.
