The IDEA Living and Learning Community (LLC) Program Lead is a full-time staff member who is responsible for professional development programming for students in the IDEA Living and Learning Community. (This community was formerly known as E&I (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) Living and Learning Community)
Primary duties:
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of programming for IDEA Living Learning Community
  • Supervise student program committees and student interns
  • Assist Faculty Director with development of long-term strategic plan, programmatic curriculum, grant proposals, funding initiatives, and comprehensive assessment
  • Communicate and market the mission of IDEA Living Learning Community.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree and 1 year experience in Student Personnel Services, Business, or related field, or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience, or equivalence. Valid driver’s license required.
Some evening and weekend work is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree and 2 years. Direct experience working with college students in and outside the classroom; experience with entrepreneurship and innovation programming for students and community members.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; ability to work independently; commitment to excellence; ability to work on a flexible basis when activities fall outside of normal working times, including nights and weekends; ability to work within a diverse, collaborative, non-hierarchical work environment; ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Coordinate planning and implementation of programming for E&I Living Learning Community. Facilitate coordination of summer planning and communication for E&I. Facilitate the development of programs for first-year students and E&I interest groups. Facilitate the development of new programming initiatives in areas of personal expertise. Facilitate the development of faculty associate program, create opportunities for students to interact with faculty associates. Assist students with grant and award applications. Facilitate coordination of communication with E&I alumni. Coordinate communication with E&I advisory board. Facilitate coordination of community engagement activities. Coordinate E&I Study Abroad/Study Away Programs. Coordinate E&I UNIV 101 and other courses.

Advise E&I students, tracking academic and program progress. Coordinate students with USC Connect and experiential learning opportunities in E&I. Serve as liaison with various University offices including Registrar, University Housing, Student Affairs, Academic Support and other appropriate academic units as needed. Assist Faculty Principal with development of long-term strategic plan, programmatic curriculum, grant proposals, funding initiatives, and comprehensive assessment. Coordinate data collection for division and university reports, and other assessment initiatives.

Under the direction of the Faculty Principal, coordinate the scheduling and management of the E&I Spaces, including procurement of equipment and supplies for operations. Responsible for timely and accurate submission of procurement requests to Housing Business Operations to provide goods and services in support of E&I programming. Provide daily oversight for administrative and business operations. Recruit, train, supervise, and assess graduate and student employees.

Working with a Graduate Assistant and up to two student employees, collaborates with the Housing Purchasing Office to manage processing and reconciling of billing, accounts due, expenditures, reimbursements, departmental transfers, grants and travel. Obtains and manages USC Purchasing Card to be used for authorized Faculty Led LLC expenditures. Ensures that all necessary office supplies and equipment are available and ordered as needed in a timely manner in adherence to accepted university procurement process. Picks up local purchases from vendors if delivery is unavailable. Coordinates graduate student tuition supplement and study abroad paperwork.

Supervises Graduate Assistant conducting general administrative support and office management for Living Learning Community. Serves as contact for campus groups such as UTS, Purchasing, Housing, E&SP, Maintenance, and Custodial. Coordinate shipping and campus mail pickup and drop-off. Coordinate space reservations and equipment, material purchase and material checkout of the Maker Space. Works in conjunction with the Assistant Principal and student committees to facilitate a resource person and assist with events planning and coordination (as needed). Works with Campus Dining, Office of Sustainability and other campus partners to coordinate special events and billing information.
