Posting Context Statement
Position Overview
Provide leadership and administration to the Idaho FFA chapters and the members of the Idaho FFA Association as part of the University of Idaho, College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. This position serves as an external link with the statewide agricultural community, the University of Idaho, the Idaho FFA Association and the Idaho Division of Career and Technical Education. The position is responsible for the day-to-day management of the FFA Association, outreach to the community, and development and implementation of a communication strategy to meet organizational goals. The primary responsibilities of the position are to effectively implement statewide FFA programs and manage and advise state FFA officers. It is critical that this person carry out all duties in alignment with the FFA mission and the integrated model for agricultural education. The position reports directly to the Agricultural Education, Communications and Leadership Department Head within the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Idaho. The position will serve on the Idaho FFA Association Board of Director and implement policies and procedures established by the board.

Position Qualifications


Required Experience
  • Interacting, influencing and working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing customer service to internal and/or external customers
  • Experience prioritizing, organizing, managing time and multitasking
  • Experience analyzing and solving problems
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Required Other
  • Ability to work nonstandard business hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to travel
Additional Preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in agricultural education
  • Master’s Degree
  • Classroom experience as an agricultural education teacher/FFA Advisor preferred
  • 3 years of management/supervisory/leadership development
  • A passion for student leadership development and understanding of the FFA association
  • Fiscally responsible and comfortable making decisions that support the longevity of the association
  • Confident in speaking in front of small and large groups
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication skills
