General Statement | This position is responsible for the heating and ventilating operations for the MSU campus which includes the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of facility air-handling/heating systems. |

five (5) years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) relevant work experience in the maintenance and repair of institutional/commercial building HVAC mechanical systems and equipment.

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information | Must possess currently or be eligible to obtain a valid State of Montana Driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record (less than 12 points). Do NOT send a copy of the driver’s license. This position can be hired at one of five levels: Staff at this level meet the minimum qualifications listed above. ME I includes the position requirements of the Repair Maintenance Engineer and the candidate must possess a Montana Third Class Boiler Engineer license. *Please upload a copy of your current valid license under the Applicant Documents section, under Other. ME II includes the position requirements of the ME I and requires the individual to possess additional advanced knowledge of HVAC systems including: advanced knowledge of building HVAC systems and associated controls, ability to troubleshoot and resolve operation and maintenance problems of complex building environmental control systems that are both pneumatic and DDC, experienced installing, modifying, diagnosing, testing, repairing, calibrating and operating a variety of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and electronic control equipment in HVAC systems.
