Position Summary

Under administrative directive of the Director of HR Operations, this position supports the UI Health Human Resources Operations Team by serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HR Systems: Kronos/UKG Pro and Smartsheet. This position assists in auditing and updating the HR systems mentioned above to support the organization's goal for data integrity. This position will provide technical support to help implement and maintain workflows identified through process mapping for HR systems and create Standard Operating Procedures for processes. This position will provide technical support to end users and work directly with employees, management, and UIH HR to troubleshoot and resolve reported issues.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as UI Health’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Kronos/UKG Pro and Smartsheet.
  • Provides technical support to the HR Operations Team to help implement and maintain updated workflows in UI Health’s Time and Attendance system, Smartsheet, etc.
  • Provides technical support to end users and works directly with employees, management, and UIH HR to troubleshoot and resolve reported issues.
  • Partners with UIH Human Resources Teams to implement new modules and workflows in HR systems.
  • Facilitates and updates (as needed) Workforce Management Training for leaders gaining access to the Time and Attendance system.
  • Maintains data integrity within the Time and Attendance system and updates employee profiles as needed to ensure timely and accurate pay and scheduling can occur.
  • Reviews staff accruals and performs regular audits to ensure accruals are reflected accurately in the time and attendance system.
  • Attends vendor-hosted e-learnings and reports back on new functionalities that can and should be reviewed for implementation.
  • Creates project management documents (project plan, timeline, etc.) for all ongoing system improvement projects.
  • Acts as a liaison between UIH Human Resources and UKG for all support cases.
  • Documents and reports security and compliance measures, policies, procedures and performs audits as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a field closely related to the position.
  • Two (2) years (24 months) of work experience performing professional-level human resources duties.
  • Demonstrated experience working with UKG/Kronos Application
  • This position requires Illinois residency within 180 days of the hire date.
