The Translational Science and Therapeutics (TST) Division of Fred Hutch is seeking a candidate with a laboratory-based program focused on Cancer Immunology.  Candidates of all academic ranks—Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor with a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD, or equivalent—are encouraged to apply. The primary appointment will be with Fred Hutch. Academic appointment at the University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.

The successful candidate will have expertise in cancer immunology and be engaged in laboratory-based research investigating translational cellular therapies. The selected individual will foster an environment of collaboration and productivity in cancer cell therapy. Candidates must demonstrate a track record of peer-reviewed publications in the cancer immunology field and success in obtaining extramural funding.

Fred Hutch is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

Qualifications Applicants must have a PhD or medical degree (MD/PhD welcomed), or foreign equivalent, and board certification in Medical Oncology (or foreign equivalent). In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $165,000 to $393,196 for faculty hired at the Assistant Professor rank, $185,059 to $420,547 for faculty hired at the Associate Professor rank, and from $207,555 to $472,040 for faculty hired at the Professor rank. Pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Pay for Faculty positions is based on a variety of factors, including degree, specialty, clinical practice and experience. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and sign-on bonus.
