Description of Work Unit | Housing & Dining Services Housing & Dining Services (HDS) is the largest department on campus with 450 full-time staff and 1,700 hourly and student staff, and nearly 8,300 students live on campus. HDS is responsible for the management, finance, administration, and program development of all University housing facilities, including residence halls, university apartments, and Mountain Campus. As a department, HDS works to create dynamic housing and dining experiences that enhance personal growth and global engagement. We do this through implementation of our values of customer first service, commitment to students and staff, integrity, respect and teamwork, inclusiveness and diversity, innovation and stewardship. Position Summary | The HR Coordinator/Payroll Specialist will provide payroll and HR support for Housing & Dining Services. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all HR information in Oracle for HDS employees and the following Human Resources Processes: processing Leave Without Pay, Worker’s Comp, Family Medical Leave, and New Hire information and terminations in Oracle for Administrative Professionals, State Classified, Grad Students, Student Hourlies and Non-Student Hourlies. This position will also provide Administrative Support to HDS Human Resources as needed. This position has an abiding commitment to serving the diverse needs of the University community, the active promotion of an equitable and inclusive environment, and the development and enhancement of collaborative relationships |
