Position Description Summary:
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, a non-profit academic clinical practice group strategically aligned with The George Washington University, is seeking academic hospitalist psychiatrists for full-time, regular faculty appointments in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Candidates with fellowship training in consultation-liaison psychiatry are invited to apply.
These non-tenure track positions will be made at a rank (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Professor) and salary commensurate with experience.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include serving on the psychiatry hospitalist team that serves medical-surgery units, the inpatient psychiatric service, and the emergency department; teaching medical students and residents; seeing patients in an outpatient setting, and developing a clinical research program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be board-certified or eligible in General Psychiatry and license-eligible in the District of Columbia at the time of appointment.
