Job Summary

The High School Clerk will be high school students employed by University Academy to provide support for the University Academy with students and teachers in the classroom.

 

Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks

  • Assist with direct instruction of students (individually or in small groups) under supervision of teacher.
  • Assist with preparing instructional material and classroom for daily lessons.
  • Assist with other campus activities/duties as needed; pick-up duty, Campus Events, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Required Education/Experience

  • Junior or Senior in High School.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies

  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • General subject content knowledge.
  • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
  • Experience working with special needs students.

Additional Information

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
