Overview
PPPL invites applications for the position of Health Physics (HP) Manager in support of the Lab Mission. This position reports to the Head of Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H).
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the PPPL Health Physics Program, including the internal and external dosimetry programs, ALARA program, health physics instrumentation program, Nuclear Material Control and Accountability (NMC&A) program, radiological environmental monitoring program, PEARL and HP CASL operations, radiological emergency preparedness (EP) program, accelerator safety, and field operations in support of PPPL and the Health Physics Division of the ES&H Department.

Education and Experience:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership skills with an inclusive approach to decision making.
Strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage a broad range of work activities and technical disciplines involving a diverse spectrum of professional and non-professional personnel.
Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Excellent Computer skills (PC/Mac).
Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel using advanced excel functions.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Certified Health Physicist (CHP) desired.
- MS in Health Physics or related field desired.
Physical Requirements:
- No unique physical requirements â“ job responsibilities include office work, field walk-throughs to monitor and direct work.
Working Conditions:
- This position will be a hybrid mix of in office and onsite presence.
