PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check will be required prior to the start of employment. Job Summary

Compiles and performs more complex statistical analysis on multiple-source healthcare data to assess utilization, control costs, and care indicators and measurement utilizing complex data-mining, statistical, and advanced modeling techniques in data interpretation. Writes in-depth data analysis reports for multiple projects and for leadership. Identifies data problem areas, conducts research to determine best course of action, and provides innovative ways (e.g., predictive analysis) to use existing data to improve program outcomes.


Essential Functions 

• Compiles and performs more complex statistical analysis on healthcare data based on team and/or leadership requests to assess utilization, control costs, and care indicators and measurement.

• Applies complex data-mining, statistical, and advanced modeling techniques in data interpretation.

• Facilitates coordination of healthcare data from multiple sources including, but not limited to, medical claims, medical records, and lab results. Ensures accuracy of data.

• Writes timely and accurate in-depth data analysis reports for multiple projects and for leadership requests; details conclusions, and identifies data trends.

• Interprets data to assess clinical plans, programs, and provider effectiveness with insight into financials and patient outcomes.

• Monitors and identifies data problem areas and conducts research to determine best course of action. Provides innovative ways to use existing data to improve program outcomes and efficiencies, including predictive analytics.

• Evaluates and recommends improvements, tracks implementation usages, and tracks progress/decline of data sets. Assists projects sponsors with relevant data sets.

• Assists in data preparation and findings for journals and publications.

• Maintains databases; inputs data and statistical findings in a timely and accurate manner.

• Some travel to satellite sites may occur. If not utilizing public transportation, a valid driver’s license is required. It is the expectation that the incumbent will use their own vehicle required for local travel and the owner of the vehicle must carry automobile liability insurance. The owner’s automobile liability insurance coverage is primary coverage. The University’s automobile liability insurance policy provides excess coverage only.
