Job Summary
Performs journeyman
level work and participates in the grounds care operation and University
buildings, areas, and remote sites.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). One year’s ground and lawn maintenance experience. Driver’s License required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
- Ability to perform grounds maintenance tasks.
- Skill in interpreting and completing landscape plans.
- Knowledge of fertilizer and/or pesticide applications.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
- Ability to operate mowers, tractors, and loaders.
- Ability to read,
understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Three years ground and lawn maintenance experience
