JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, a Division I and Big Ten Conference member, is seeking a dynamic, cutting-edge creative professional to work with its elite football program as a Graphic Designer. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Football Communications and Content. The individual will be expected to produce high-level designs that elevate the brand’s profile as well as that of its student-athletes. Individual must work to develop, maintain and advance the brand's identity through original and creative design concepts for a variety of digital and printed materials including, but not limited to: motion graphics, social media graphics, posters, signage and large-scale facility graphics, website and e-mail graphics, paid media collateral, logos and varied promotional materials. The successful candidate will work on edits with wide distribution as well as personalized, targeted recruiting graphics. Successful candidate will also assist in creative direction of photo shoots both with the current team as well as with recruits and may also be used to capture some photography. Video capture or editing is a plus, but not required.

  

The successful candidate must expedite, organize and track a large and varying workflow involving multiple deadlines as well as archive and organize files, projects, art and fulfill quick-turn requests.

 

Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required. Experience in After Effects preferred. Strong written, editing and verbal communication skills and the ability to supervise student and part-time staff preferred. Requires night and weekend work, including working home, away and postseason football games, some recruiting weekends as well as special events.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$51,000.00 - $74,000.00
