The Research Administration Management Analyst will oversee and manage all pre-& post-award activities for assigned departments and principal investigators (PIs) as part of the College of Law and partnering colleges, which manages $11.2M of external research funding and serves over 50 investigators; provides expertise in support of all pre-& post-award activities, including fiscal management, personnel appointments, compliance, and support of investigators and staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a relevant field.

  • Two years of relevant grant or contract management experience including knowledge of pre-award and post-award grant management process; prior experience with Microsoft Office, including ability to create documents in Word and complex spreadsheets in Excel, and ability to calculate, analyze, and interpret mathematical and statistical information. Requires successful completion of a background check. 

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Research Administrator or Certified Financial Research Administrator certification. 

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience and experience with research administration tools (eRA commons); experience investigating research funding sources; knowledge of OSU Office of Sponsored Programs policies & procedures;  Intermediate PowerPoint skills to include the ability to create presentations; the Ability to think strategically and see how parts interact with the big picture; the Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects, and priorities including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines; Ability to identify issues, investigate and resolve mid-size fiscal discrepancies; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Excellent communication skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related processes to internal and external customers; and ability to positively represent the department internally and externally.

Salary range: $53,800-$71,700 dependent on the selected candidate's education, experience, equity, and budget.

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
