The Education mission of the department of Anesthesiology includes the following; ACGME accredited Core Residency program, ACGME and non-ACGME sub-specialty fellowship training programs (Cardiovascular, Critical Care, Pain, OB, Regional, Neuro, Ambulatory Business and Clinical Research) OSU College of Medicine Med 3s and 4s rotations as well as a variety of other external rotations. The Education Manager (EM) is responsible for the administrative management of these training programs to assure that all regulatory requirements are met to maintain accreditation. Organizes the structure by which the office functions to complete all criteria associated with ACGME, RRC, ABA and Institutional compliance; demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions and underlying management structure of the fellowship office, working independently prioritizing work, establishing procedures and systems, and ensuring orderly and timely work flow. Position Summary: Partners with the Physician Education Program Director (PD) and the Physician Fellowship Directors (FD) to oversee regulatory compliance development and reporting to maintain accreditations, the Program Manager establishes the schedule of program activities in order to meet deadlines; prepares reports in addition to reports for site visits, manages ACGME protocols and oversees education evaluation system; serves as liaison with governing bodies, monitors progression to ensure graduation criteria is met, responsible for recruitment, orientation, represents department and Directors at meetings; maintains budget; attends local, regional, and national meetings. Manages the education office resources to facilitate program needs; in addition to day to day as well as recruitment, onboarding and graduation. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of national accreditation policies and hospital policies, as weMinimum Education RequiredBachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in business administration or educationRequired QualificationsA bachelors degree in an appropriate field or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience in program planning and administration is required.
