Job Summary/Basic Functions
The EKU Department of Agriculture is accepting applications for a full-time Graduate Assistant of Research (20 hours/week) for the Spring 2024 Semester. The applicant should have an interest in applied research and biological sciences; a background in agriculture or horticulture is a plus. The graduate student will work under the direction of a faculty member on various aspects of a project concerning Climate-Smart agricultural activities, practices and systems. The successful candidate will interact with members of an agricultural enterprise and agricultural producers.
Candidates must be enrolled at EKU and qualify for graduate assistantships as outlined by the EKU Graduate School.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Candidates must be enrolled at EKU and qualify for graduate assistantships as outlined by the EKU Graduate School.
- Bachelor's degree
- Enrolled at EKU
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in data collection and analysis. A background in agriculture or horticulture is a plus.
Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
