Job Description:

  • Manage the BSD divisional required programming for more than 500 PhD students such as the pedagogical training assignment; first-year ethics course.

  • Work with the Registrarâ™s Office on the divisional list of classes for quarterly registration; tracks and submits to the Registrarâ™s Office the divisional approval for the PhD degree milestones of admission to candidacy and final examination; quarterly graduation and annual convocation events including the Divisional Academic Ceremony. 

  • Support the annual quantitative biology boot camp, the PhD student governance group Deanâ™s Council, the graduate affairs social media presence.  

  • Represent the PhD programs at annual recruitment events around the country.

  • Solves problems in areas such as academic and administrative policy, student admissions, curriculum research and development, and budget development.

  • Recommends process improvements for programs that relate to critical student-life improvement, including emergency management, accommodations for students with disabilities, and/or the administration of health care services and programs for students.

  • Performs other related work as needed.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment, specified hybrid schedule.

  • Weekend/Evening hours: Occasional evening and weekend hours as required by programming.

  • Travel required: 10%, seasonal recruiting travel.
