FY24 -Student Worker- First Year Mentor

First-Year Mentors are student workers who help transition new students to Friends University through Enrollment Days, New Student Orientation (NSO), and First-Year Experience.

First Year Mentor(s) must be available for each of these dates and times in 2023:

 Top Scholars Enrollment Day: Thursday, April 6 from 8 am-5 pm

 Fall New Student Orientation Development Days – Monday, August 14 – Thursday, August 17 from 9 am-5 pm

 Fall New Student Orientation – Friday, August 12 – Sunday, August 14 all day each day

First Year Mentors will be able to demonstrate the following: initiative, leadership, excellent communication, confidence with public speaking, organization, independence, ability to work in a group, and professionalism.

Academic Requirements: must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 and be in good standing with Friends University.

An undergrad student must have been at Friends University for at least a year.
