The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a FUSE Student Researcher in Psychological Science on the Dahlonega campus. Hired applicants will actively assist with a research study over eight weeks in Summer 2024 on the topic of generative AI. This includes a literature review, interacting with participants, organizing data, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, and generating practical recommendations. Conference-style proposals and presentations will be created. The study will examine university students¿ attitudes of generative AI and how they use it. The research assistant will join the FUSE program to conduct focused and meaningful research, scholarly and creative activities alongside a faculty researcher from June 3 - July 26, 2024.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Required: Literature review, writing research papers; electronic communication 
  • Preferred: MS Excel, SPSS
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Current UNG student not graduating before December 2024.
  • Has experience in a research setting, e.g. collecting data, writing academic papers.
