FULL-TIME TENURE TRACK FACULTY – BUSINESS: MARKETING & MANAGEMENT
WILBUR WRIGHT COLLEGE


The Business Department of Wilbur Wright College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago, seeks an innovative, collaborative, and technologically astute tenure track marketing and management instructor effective Fall 2024. 


Students have the opportunity to learn accounting, data analysis, marketing, and management via the college’s instructional offerings.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teaches introductory and upper level content courses in marketing with specialty in digital/social media marketing and marketing analytics.
  • Leads course and curriculum improvement for new and existing marketing and management courses.
  • Facilitates the integration aspects of marketing and management into more traditional general education courses.
  • Facilitates the integration of marketing and management across all general education disciplines.
  • Works with faculty and administrators throughout the district to create a pathway for student success in transfer and workforce readiness.
  • Works with secondary school teachers to align content and facilitate early college transfers through dual credit and dual enrollment.
  • Works with transfer institutions and employers to ensure academic integrity of the courses and programs.
  • Participates in assessment projects at the departmental and institutional levels.
  • Helps students reach their academic, personal, and career goals and cultivates a safe environment that respects the diversity of individuals and ideas by modeling respect for all students and conveying confidence in every student’s ability to learn.
  • Adheres to City Colleges of Chicago board rules, policies, procedures, and code of ethics. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Marketing or MBA specialization in Marketing.
  • Experience in digital/social media marketing and digital marketing analytics.
  • Demonstrated skill in teaching marketing concepts to students in various modalities (face-to-face, hybrid, online).
  • Demonstrated skill teaching marketing concepts to students at different ability levels.
  • Experience in developing innovative marketing curriculum at the college level.
  • Minimum of two years of community college and/or university teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and appreciation for the community college philosophy and approach to teaching and learning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and writing skills.
