Job Title:  Forensic Psychiatry Business Services Senior Professional

Job Summary:

The Forensic Psychiatry Program within the Division of Community, Population and Public Mental Health seeks a full-time (1.0 FTE) Business Services Senior Professional to provide administrative and financial support to the program. This position will provide oversight of procurement, budgeting, reporting, and overall administrative management to the Forensic Psychiatry Program, which includes the Medical Legal Clinic. Additionally, this position will coordinate all medical legal work for the Department of Psychiatry to ensure compliance with University Policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage internal and external meeting requests by assisting with scheduling and physician calendar management.
  • Performs miscellaneous administrative tasks for clinical staff as requested and serve as backup for other administrative staff within the division as needed and appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Forensic Leadership regarding the creation and implementation of various policies, handbooks, guidelines, etc.
  • Utilizes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sitefinity, Teams and other computer programs to enter or retrieve information/data as requested.
  • Manages Medical Legal Clinic monthly program calendar based on provider availability and facility needs.
  • Responsible for tracking, submitting monthly reports, and correspondence with the State involving Comp/Sanity evals for the forensic program.
  • Responsible for processing monthly invoices for Comp/Sanity evals and working with Human Resources to ensure correct and timely monthly payouts.
  • Responsible for med-legal budget and fiscal duties including but not limited to tracking med legal approvals, invoicing, payments, and FTE reconciliation.
  • Manage CU Marketplace orders for the section (purchasing and receiving).

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
    • A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Two (2) years of professional level business administration or operations experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an academic and/or healthcare finance environment.
  • Experience using CU programs (Smartsheet, HCM, CU Marketplace, Concur Travel & Expense) or similar programs.
  • Experience working with students, staff, and faculty, within a higher education and/or academic medical environment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of Forensic Psychiatry work.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, identify and set priorities for self and others, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $59,313 - $75,446.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
