ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs (OFAA) serves as a resource center and facilitation entity for USF Health (Morsani College of Medicine, College of Public Health, Taneja College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, and School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Sciences) and the University community under the direction of the Senior Associate Vice President of Faculty & Academic Affairs, USF Health and Vice Dean of Faculty Affairs, Morsani College of Medicine, and is responsible for USF Health faculty matters and appointments.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The fiscal & business analyst will provide in depth financial analysis to manage the division's budgets, while serving as the main financial resource regarding OFAA's 8 funding sources (4 E&G, 2 Carry Forward, and 2 DSAF). This position will maintain up to date financial ledgers in order to accurately analyze and disseminate financial positions to the Senior Assoc. VP and the Director of faculty affairs. This position will serve as lead in preparation of the yearly operating budget due to its extensive role in the management, reconciliation, and projection of finances.
In addition to managing the division's operating budget, the fiscal & business analyst will assist and serve as a back-up for the ASF pay process for USF Health faculty and will monitor/track faculty salaries via the new Monday.com platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generates monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for all 8 division funding accounts utilizing Finance Mart, FAST, & PowerBI in order to consolidate financial activities to perform detailed reviews and analysis of division finances for 6 E&G accounts (totaling $2,381,108.64) & @ 2 Dean Academic Support Fund accounts (totaling
$242,777.00). Will also establish and implement appropriate accounting controls for OFAA to ensure division financial activities are in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and university policies & procedures.
Division Purchasing Authority. Sole PCard holder for OFAA. Responsible for all division purchasing, travel coordination, the Purchase Order process, and vendor creation and maintenance. Serves as a liaison with central departments such as the Controller's Office, Division of Budgets, Purchasing, and MCOM Business Office.
Assists with the preparation and development of the annual operating budget, taking into account all projections and forecasting scenarios to ensure financial support for division needs.
Monitors MCOM faculty total salary data to track and capture both UCS and ASF salary components for each faculty member. Responsible for making updates to the master tracking sheet via Monday.com to ensure all MCOM faculty salary components are accurately reflected each month.
Assist the OFAA HR team with the revision of personnel actions and appointment packets to ensure compliance and assign to the appropriate OFAA HR Representative.
Performs other duties as assigned.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or other field directly related to the position's specific responsibilities and 0-2 years of fiscal related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree in no specific required field and two years of fiscal related work experience; or four years fiscal related work experience.
PREFERRED:
Bachelor's degree and three years of fiscal related work experience.  Must be highly skilled in the use of MS Office suite programs, to include Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Teams.  Knowledge of GEMS, FAST, FADS, and PowerBI.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:
Strong data literacy and analysis background; experience with excel, Finance Mart, FAST, & PowerBI to generate financial reports.
