Job Summary:

To coordinate and manage all federal, state and system financial aid programs. The FA Manager is responsible for departmental policies and procedures to insure that Bryant & Stratton is in compliance with regulatory bodies including, but not limited to United States Department of Education, New York State Higher Education, New York State Board of Regents, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and Guarantee agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Financial Aid staff including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluation, terminations, and planning
  • Responsible for maintenance of high customer service standards in Financial Aid areas. The goal is to provide excellent customer service that result in delivering positive, friendly and timely service to the entire student and staff population.
  • Ensure adequate staffing of the financial aid department during operating hours of Monday thru Thursday 8:00am to 7pm, Friday 9am to 1pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm as needed. Earlier or later hours may be necessary during peak times.
  • Ensure that all financial aid programs are properly administered and comply with all federal and state regulations.
  • Responsible for the timely processing and submission of all applications for financial aid for all registered students.
  • Manage campus budgets and forecasting for institutional funding and federal allocations.
  • Ensure the student financial aid records are complete, organized and properly filed in a timely manner.
  • Manage financial aid document retention and archive for all active and inactive students.
  • Coordinate with the Business Office to ensure proper cash management procedures are adhered to.
  • Responsible for ensuring all necessary enrollment documents are received and processed from other departments to ensure that all adjustments to financial aid are processed on a timely manner and in accordance to applicable regulations.
  • Provide and prepare information for required federal, state and accrediting agency reports, ensuring timely submission and prepare documentation for regulatory audits.
  • Assist in the preparations of financial aid information for our monthly Systems conference calls.
  • Coordinate and participate in the financial aid portion of Orientations, Registration, and Graduation Seminars.
  • Participate with other members of the Campus Management team in activities and communication designed to improve Campus performance and meet management objectives.
  • Motivate staff to perform duties in a manner that is congruent with the Colleges vision standards and ethics.
  • Other functions and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. A degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • 2 years supervisory experience required.
  • Experience in Financial aid a plus.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse student and staff population.
  • Must thrive on working in a fast paced multi-tasked environment where attention to detail is a must.
  • Must possess a drive for professionalism and excellence.

Salary:

$60,00-$63,000 ($28.85-$30.28 hourly)

The selected candidate’s actual base pay for this role will take into account a wide range of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. At Bryant & Stratton College, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
